Geocache Description:

The average cache hunter would be able to find this in less than 45 minutes of hunting. Not suitable for small children, the handicapped, or the elderly. The average adult or older child should be OK depending on physical condition. Terrain can be challenging, with steep hills, loose dirt and rocks, and possibly some overgrowth. However the total hiking distance is not very far.

This cache will take you on a little adventure, exposing you to fascinating man made AND natural geological structures. It’s a great workout too!

Here's a link to mapquest for the parking lot where you should start from. It is called “Reservoir Park” and is located in Phoenixville, PA.

Information about the historical significance can be found inside the cache. You are probably going to want to read the encrypted info, which is a little poem I wrote to walk you though the journey. Especially if you skip my poem: You do NOT need to hike into the rail tunnel, which would be dangerous and trespassing.

Keep the cache well hidden, teenagers frequent the area and have destroyed the cache 4 times. Its initial contents are some historical documents related to what you will pass on your journey, and some other miscellaneous stuff you might enjoy. Take anything except the historical documents and warning.

You may want to bring a flashlight with you (regardless of the time of day). You will understand later... A first aid kit and a cell phone are also not a bad idea. At various times of the year (mostly summer and early autumn) there can be a lot of poison ivy in these woods so long pants is a good idea.
