Geocache Description:

Glenwood Park near tennis courts, terrain almost level, short hike, easy to find. Please conceal the cache well and make sure the lid is closed tightly as this cache has been reported found out in the open and damp frequently. thanks

Container replaced and "treasures" refurbished 4-16-05. Glenwood Park is a great little park with a lake for fishing and paddle boats, tennis courts, (bring your racquet and balls), two great playgrounds for the kids, one at the entrance and one at the top of the hill, picnic sites with grills (pack a picnic lunch) and the all important restrooms.
Glenwood Park is located on RT. 20 between Princeton and Bluewell, West Virginia. From Princeton go approximately 4 miles on 20 South (locally known as New Hope Road) , the park entrance is on the left. From Bluewell take 20 North about 5 miles, park will be on the right. You will see a lake and a playground. Between May and Sept you may be asked to pay a nominal fee of $1/car, although there isn't always somebody there to collect in which case just drive on in. Early spring and late fall it is free, & during the worst of the winter a gate may be closed at the entrance in which case you will have a walk of 1/2 mile to get to the cash. Upon entering drive until you enter the wooded area, once in the wooded area the best place to park to start your hunt will be at the tennis court parking area.

The container is clear with a purple lid. It had at the time it was hidden a carabiner, pencils, toy plane, flash light, magnet, fun book, squirt gun, calculator, crayons, and a Beatrix Potter book. ( that is all I can remember)

The walk is short and the terrain easy, especially for WV. Perfect if you have young children along who will tire easily, or people who don't like long and strenuous hikes.
