Geocache Description:

Start at the parking lot at Pinecrest Lake. Take the hiking trail around the lake in either direction until you find the trail head sign near where the river feeds into the lake directing you to Cleo’s Bath.

The given coordinates are to Cleo's Bath, but when you get there you will have to do a little more work to find the cache. Find the standing dead tree on the south side of the pool that has a small fork on the top. Move up to a position where Pinecrest Lake is directly behind this tree and just below the fork, and there is a small tree directly behind your back. Enjoy the view for a few minutes!!! Now take a GPS reading and subtract .081 from the Latitude reading and add .008 to the Longitude reading. The outcome of all this adding and subtracting gives you the coordinates of the cache. Good hunting!!!

The cache is in a 32 Oz. clear plastic container with a blue screw on lid.

The contents are:
Travel bug “Eneman”
Rubber glove
Plastic tooth
2- 2 packs of AA batteries
Wire nut
Plastic bushing
Tie Wrap
American Flag lapel pin
2- Sacagawea dollars
Antique Book of matches (Circa 1960) from the Stage Drivers Retreat in Columbia
Fender guitar pick

The round trip distance to the cache is aprox. 7 miles and there is an altitude change from the parking lot to Cleo’s bath of about 900 feet (all of it in the last 1.2 miles) but I did the hike with a severely sprained (taped) ankle and I’m 52 years old so anyone in reasonably good health should have no trouble making the trip and the view is definitely worth it!
