A Short Drive to the Middle of the Lake Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

MadMin: I attempted to contact the owner of A Short Drive to the Middle of the Lake to find out about the status of this cache on May 31, 2008. I have received no response from the owner on the cache page or via email. Because of that I'm afraid I have to archive this cache.

I will be more than happy to review this cache again and (hopefully) reinstate it once you have corrected any issues with the cache. please contact me via ma.reviewer@gmail.com to do so.

Please note that unarchiving a cache page places it through the same review process as a newly proposed cache, using the cache placement guidelines currently in effect.

Geocache Description:

The cache is in a large plastic jar with a red lid. It is hidden on the bank of Hudson Lake on City of Tulsa Property.

This cache is on a dirt road owned by the City of Tulsa for access to the water line that carries water from Lake Spavinaw to Lake Yahola in Mohawk Park. The road is open to the public and is often used by fishermen. The original contents of the cache include mostly fishing supplies but it is not required. Keeping the cache well hidden will be very important because it is only a few feet off the edge of the road. The cache should be an easy find but you may need to be a little sneaky depending on the number of fishermen and how close they may be to the cache. It is a big area but there is always a chance that some fisherman may decide to sit on the hiding spot. The road can be ROUGH and if you cache hunt in small or low clearance vehicle you may need to park a little further away and take a short walk to the middle of the lake.

If Lake Hudson is considerably higher than normal the cache will not be avilable. We are in the area frequently and will keep an eye on the cache.
