This is a three-part multi-cache navigational adventure situated in Castlewood State Park.
The object of this cache is to locate the Lost Arc and then follow it all the way to the final cache with one stop along the way for additional information. All waypoints and caches are located very close to trails.
Go to the coordinates at the top of this page and find a small painted rectangular metal tag with three 3-digit numbers stamped on it. Let the first number be RST, the second be UVW, and the third be XYZ. The center of the Lost Arc is at:
N 38: 32.RST
W 90:32.UVW
The Lost Arc is defined by all of the points that are XYZ feet from the center.
Follow the Lost Arc in a counter clockwise direction until you find a man made wood object and a similar metal tag with a one 3-digit number stamped on it. This is the true bearing in degrees from the cache location to the center of the Lost Arc. Continue following the Lost Arc counter clockwise until you reach the cache location.
