Fred Kalmbach, a benevolent industrialist, entrusted his home and 17 acres to be kept as an environmental memorial park in Macungie, PA. Trails for easy walking and nature appreciation meander through the park. There is a pine forest, a brook, a butterfly garden, picnic tables, and much more for your enjoyment. Relax at his memorial, read his history, and reflect upon the lifelong inspirations that he left for us.
Park hours are from dawn to dusk. There are maps at the information sign at the parking lot. Please stay on the trails until you must get off and please do not bushwhack because some areas are protected. Also, beware of the stinging nettles, they sting!
