Geocache Description:

This cache is near Mason Lake in the Adirondack State Park of New York State. From Speculator, NY take NY30 8.1 miles N to Perkins Clearing Road (on the left). You can also come from Indian Lake NY south on NY30 15.4 miles to Perkins Clearing Road (on right). This is an ideal cache for some first timers. I think I may have made it too easy..if so I may move it. It was a cloudy/rainy day when hiding it. I had a hard time getting a reading on the GPS. Please send feedback.

When selecting a location for a cache, I like to take people to a place they would never think of going or maybe never knew existed. This is a pretty lake suitable for fishing, so bring your pole and bring your tent! There are many rustic camp sites available on a first come first serve basis along Perkins Clearing Road.

This cache is the typical ammo box with "GEOCACHING.COM" stenciled in white on the side. Included in the cache are the following:

Log book and camera for self portrait
small speaker for radio or Cd player
Dog collars
Cat dish
Flowery log books for the taking
bouncing balls
key chain
etc

I have also included Tex the lonely Moose travel bug! As you drive up and down Rt 30 you will notice the moose crossing signs...Tex just had to visit!

Enjoy!

PLEASE COVER THIS CACHE WITH LEAVES AND NEEDLES THE WAY YOU FOUND IT!
