Geocache Description:

Climb out of the smog and the rat race of the city to relax and enjoy some awesome Alpine views. The drive out is perfectly fine for almost every vehicle, but might pose a problem for those very low clearance types. This is not impossible in the winter, but the snow can pile into the hollows, and the road is not winter maintained.

The last 40+/- feet are best covered by grownups in sturdy shoes and jeans. Our 7-year-old managed just fine, with a few little scratches. No snakes seen, but they are native to the area. No blackberries and no poison oak anywhere to be found, just for the more sensitive of geocachers. I don't think it's possible to ride a single speed to THIS one, but the ride back down would be a great payoff for the misery.

This is a plastic shoebox, filled with a veritable plethora of delights:

water bottle-sized ice sticks (not frozen this week)
roll of duct tape (MADE IN USA!!)
2 keyed-alike mini padlocks
tiny screwdrivers
tiny first-aid kit
fast orange wipes
cat pin
geo cache patch
three CD set of 80's hits--definitely on the mellow side
Hot Wheels car
cache-in/trash-out kit
custom First Finder patch (by Thredworks.com) for one lucky FAST individual
log book/pen/pencil/sharpener/geo-cache letter
