All along the coast of
Oregon state you'll see signs that point to directions to head
if there is a warning issued for a Tsunami (Japanese word for
a large "tidal wave" usually caused by an offshore
earthquake). This cache, along with many of the caches placed
along the Oregon coastline, would be washed away by a Tsunami
with a wave height of a few yards/metres or more.
Onto the cache... The cache is located within the state park and
near popular beach and lake access points. Note that there is no
parking near the cache site itself, so you'll have to walk or bike
to the cache site, but there are some very nice paved trails
through this section of the park.
1 Sept 2003: There have been some concerns over the location of
this cache and damage to the mossy grounds around it. Before
seeking this one out, please look at the spoiler picture below to
see the general location. You should NOT tear up moss to find this
one. Once found, please re-hide the cache, but leave a bit of the
coloured lid exposed so that future cachers will see it. The
container is a 3 quart clear plastic with a yellow lid. Thanks and
happy hunting!
