This cache is close to the main Hwy. and easily accessible. Beware of the wild roses... please wear shoes
Within 500 ft of this cache is a natural spring, actually multiple warm and cold springs that fill a pond. That's the McGill Pool. So when you hunt for this cache plan on stopping long enough to go for a swim, the pool is open in the summer between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Pool hours are from 11 am to 7 pm, there are life guards on duty and a small admission fee. I grew up in McGill and highly recommend this swimming hole.
The cache box is a large container with quite a variety of things inside. There is a Cabela's Big Game Hunter III game CD, a stamp pad and stamps, a blow-up pool toy, a diving toy, swim goggles, a couple of paperbacks, some American Flag pencils, Tic Tacs, misc. toys, a jump rope, Silly Putty, and a music CD. I hope to get a day pass at the pool for a family of four (2 adults, 2 children) put in the cache too.
Adjacent to the pool and also near the cache is a park with picnic tables and barbeque grills so bring the briquetts and hamburges and hot dogs and swimsuits and of course your GPS and make a day of it.
