McGowan Falls are located in the Durham Conservation Area.
This is part of a multi-cache that will take you to waterfalls throughout Grey county. Each of the stages is a stand-alone cache except for the last one. The caches can be done in any order but, to complete the final cache of the tour, you must record the secrets located in the log book for each of the other caches.
You may want to look at all of the information for all of the Falls Tour caches as additional clues for other caches are hidden in the descriptions of the caches.
Make sure you note the Code inside the Log book as you will need this to get to the last Fall on the Tour.
McGowan Falls
McGowan Falls are slow moving and a public swimming area is situated at the top of the falls. The falls have some beautifully carved caves as the water flows away from the falls.
The cache contains:
Log book with mechanical pencil and leds
Marbles
Yellow Alien
Whistle
Ball
Canada Key Chain
2 Snap Key Chains
Whoopee Cushion
Canada Pen
The cache has a cream coloured lid.
Please make sure that the lid on the Cache is placed back on tightly and that the cache is well hidden again as this park is well used.
There are two entrance points to the Falls.
Depending on where you come in from you may be closer then you think to the Cache. The cache is not visible to the eye. You may have to trust your instincts and get down on eye level and dig a little.
