Geocache Description:

These places still exist, the kind of town where dogs roam free, people sit on front porches, and eccentric artists are appreciated. Two things to do to claim the find:
  1. Email me who built this building, and when.
  2. AND either post a photo of yourself with one of the meter maids, or describe something set in concrete. Make sure to write down a couple of things while on site, as I will allow each thing only once.

While on a recent cache-o-rama, T Mad Max and I were looking for a place to camp, and after two attempts we saw that there was camping in Washington, 6 miles that-a-way. Not being able to resist an adventure, we turned. After a spectacular drive with a dramatic change of altitude, We found a lovely private camp ground right on the rapid and cold Yuba River.

In the morning we spent some time in the town, a remnant of the gold mining days. There is a small store, a hotel, a restaraunt, and something really odd.

This location, while it may appear public, is a private residence. The owner gave us permission to invite you to see it, so please be respectful.
