While on a recent cache-o-rama, T Mad Max and I were looking for a place to camp, and after two attempts we saw that there was camping in Washington, 6 miles that-a-way. Not being able to resist an adventure, we turned. After a spectacular drive with a dramatic change of altitude, We found a lovely private camp ground right on the rapid and cold Yuba River.
In the morning we spent some time in the town, a remnant of the gold mining days. There is a small store, a hotel, a restaraunt, and something really odd.
