Geocache Description:

THIS ONE IS NOT FOR THE SQUEAMISH!

The area surrounding the cache is home to many of the critters that make most of us jumpy. Banana spiders and their webs were everywhere this time of year and top the list of local creepy crawlers. We also saw a gator less than 100 feet from the cache, a couple of snakes, nutria, and some big wasp nests while hiding this cache! Shouldnt be too difficult but do keep your eyes open and watch your step.

You can probably figure out by looking at the map, that some type of watercraft is required to reach the cache area. Plan accordingly. Canoes are available for rent at Martin Dies State Park and would be a cool means of travel since wildlife and scenery abound. Bringing your own canoe, kayak, or motorboat is fine as well. There are a few different places where you can start from but the closest is probably at the Walnut Ridge boat ramp. Keep in mind that this is located in the State Park and there is a small entry fee.

After reaching the cache area you'll be looking for a regular sized container. Inside we have placed some of our favorite fishing lures that we use here at the lake so be sure to take one and give it a try while you're here. Dont forget to sign the logbook and to also log your find on the GeoCaching website.

Take your time, be careful, and above all, have fun. We hope you enjoy this beautiful area!!!
