Kewbz Traditional Cache
Kosh Naranek: As there's been no further response and or action to the issues posted, I'm archiving this cache to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to replace this cache sometime in the future, you can either created a new cache page, or just email us with the GCXXX, and assuming it still meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to un-archive it.

Everyone seems to be enjoying the theme of my first cache (Thar's GOLD in Them Thar Hills!) so much - and coming up with such imaginative gold things to leave in the cache - that I'm working up a series of themed caches, so here's the second. I think you can guess the theme from the name. Original contents of the cache include:
A Rubik's cube (of course!).
Lots of different colors and sizes of dice.
A fuzzy dice key chain.
A memo cube.
An origami blow-up cube (with instructions on the cube).
An origami cube puzzle (with instructions on making more).
Dice keychains.
Several cube puzzles.
A pair of cubic zirconia earrings.
A pair of cube-on-hoop earrings.
A pair of cube chongos.
A laser etched cube (almost) keychain.
Cube craft beads.
That ought to be enough to spark your imagination. As always, you're welcome to take whatever you want, and if you leave something, it should have something to do with cubes (please, no ice cubes - I don't think they'll survive!).
To get to the cache, take Pamo Road north out of Ramona. 6.1 miles north of the intersection of Pamo and Pile Roads there is a road to the right marked 11S03 that will take you to the cache. If it has rained a decent amount you may find 11S03 blocked off. Wait for a dry spell and try again. Near the beginning of this road you will pass private property on both sides, but the road and the location of the cache are on public land. At .4 miles up this road there is a small turnout to the right and at .5 miles, just before the stream, there is an even better place to park off the left. Another few miles up the road are some really beautiful places, but after about a mile the road gets rough and rutted and generally quite nasty. If you have enough ground clearance to ford the stream you can navigate the rest of the road. (The stream is not deep and the ford is paved, but the dip into and out of it is fairly steep.) Maybe I'll plant a cache on up the road in the future for you mountain goats out there. We've driven this road on several occasions in our 2WD standard Chevy Astro van, but I must admit we're pretty nutso and have often bounced the ol' van through some terrain that would have some Hummer owners forgetting the tune.
Park at either the .4 mile turnout or just before the stream and you'll be near the cache. You do not have to cross the stream to get to the cache. The coordinates given are averaged, as there is a reasonable amount of canopy in the cache area. The cache is in a cube-shaped (of course!) plastic Tupperware-type container. Happy hunting, and
Peace.
