Don't forget to close the gate along the trail when you pass through.
This cache is located along the Continental Divide Trail near McDonald Pass, just west of Helena MT. Park your vehicle at N 46 33.425 W 112 18.408. The elevation here is about 6500 ft. Follow the trail down the steps towards the south end of the parking area. Bring along you camera. The view from this point is terrific!
A webcam camera is mounted on a short tower just to the north of the highway as you enter this overlook area. You can see the pictures from this camera by searching on the internet for the Montana highways webpage. Look under the McDonald Pass webcam selection.
