This cache is near the Vernon Reservoir. It is just a short hike from the campground.
Lots of 4-Wheelers around while we placed this one. You don't need to have a 4-Wheeler but if you have one bring it along and enjoy the trails. This fishing in the lake is pretty good around 7-8 p.m. The cache is an ammo can. There is a Cannonlaw Patch and a Football Freak Card. We also included some small stuff you might like to have while camping for a while. Mouthwash and toothpaste some small toys and a whistle. You have to drive for a few miles on some dirt roads to get to the lake but the road from Vernon is pretty well maintained. If you make a wrong turn on the dirt road you may see some No Tresspassing signs, but you can get to the campground and the cache without violating any of these postings. Just turn around and go another way. I think the cache is pretty well hidden if you doh't know it is there but should not be too hard to find if you use your Geo-senses.
