While visiting PA I thought I’d place one of my Geometric style caches, many of which I’ve placed in MA. Parking is available near the given coordinates. The cache is a large blue coffee can hidden not far off the trail described below.
The above coordinates are at the Valley High School end of a trail that leads down to the school from Charles St. Call this point A. Point B is at the Charles St. end and has coordinates ( N 40 34.047 , W 79 45.507 ). The cache is located at point C, which is a short distance to the northwest side of the trail. AC = 137 meters and BC = 108 meters. These distances were calculated very accurately using the UTM coordinate system. The cache contains a travel bug and some small trinkets. The cache will be maintained by my friend Jay.
This is a good "cache in trash out" opportunity for those of us who like to maintain a cleaner environment, so bring along a trash bag and pick up a few pieces of trash on the way out.
