Its the students vs. the teachers! Who will find this cache first?
In little Madras the local cachers are having fun. The Kelly's Heros group of middle school teachers place some of the more challenging caches, and they are often the "First Finders" to a lot of the new caches. However, there are some 13 year old middle school cachers [and maybe some high school YCC cachers] who also enjoy the hunt. Not to mention the 2 GeoSisters who roam from the Columbia River area. Sometimes we get a stray logscaler, paper-cut, buffalo, or tourist on the caching trail also. One of the 13 year olds e-mailed me to thank me for placing several of my easy 1 / 1 caches that are within walking or bicycling distance of the town of Madras [they don't have easy access to cars]. The Northside Madras cache is easy cache. It is in an old peanut butter container and it is located close to Willow Creek. You don't have to search on the bank of the creek. Have fun geocaching in the Central Oregon sun!
