Geocache Description:

This is an amazing cemetery. Thanks to Deermark for replacing the container previously. The container has been once again replaced (March, 2024). The cache is a small pill bottle container covered in black tape,

The location is the best part - it is deep in Hoosier National Forest beyond the reach of cell phone reception, near an old pioneer cemetery that is no longer used or maintained. There is no direct or easy way to get there, so be prepared for a hike. You can obtain free topographic maps of the area orienteering course at the Story Inn. The most convenient place to park is the lot for this course at the end of Kirks Ford Road.

In commemoration of the Fourth of July, 2003, the day this cache was originally placed, take note of one the tombstone of a lady named America Greathouse, one of the few tombstones that is legible.

Please rehide this cache as well as it was initially hidden. Beware of private property along the road - you have to walk a bit out of the way to avoid it. Be prepared for some intense overgrown trailless hiking across fairly rugged terrain, Bring plenty of water, a map, and a compass. Enjoy!
