NOTE: This cache started out in the courtyard... But I had to move it due to legal weenie-ness on the part of the property manager. It was moved to a cool and secluded spot on the perimeter of the property. But then hurricane Charlie (and Frances, and Jeanne) came along and trashed the second hiding spot to the point where it could not sustain a cache. So, be sure to read the instructions below for finding its new location.
The buildings circle the cache site like two huge glass hands - grasping to imprison the soul of the unwary. Hundreds of computer geeks and administrative weenies sit in cubes within the confines staring out through the reflective walls searching for something to shatter the monotony of their days and lives. Alas I too am trapped within...
The cache is hidden within the pleasing symmetrical geometry of the office buildings, driveways, and landscaping on this site. To locate the cache, stand at the coordinates given and locate the line of symmetry for the surrounding structures. Look for a series of metal fixtures that form the corner-points of a small equilateral triangle at the very centerpoint of the site. Imagine that the triangle is the head of an arrow or pointer, with the line of symmetry forming its tail. The arrow is your bearing towards the cache.
Follow the arrow (and line of symmetry) for 390' from the original coordinates [hint 1]. You should end up on a sidewalk near a large cluster of bushes and a few hurricane-damaged trees [hint 2]. At this point, add 95 degrees to your original bearing and follow the new bearing for another 70' before beginning your search [hint 3]. Please be sure rehide the cache with care so others can enjoy it.
The cache is a screw-top plastic container (held salted peanuts before) with a lid measuring 5" in diameter. The container is roughly square in shape and about 8" long. It contains a small log and pen, a 4-pack of AA batteries (for emergencies), and a handful of Tek Deks, keychains, and alien guys. It is painted in a dark camoflage pattern.
