Point Park overlooks the busy harbor area of Ashtabula. 'Hope you enjoy watching the lift bridge in action. The new Coast Guard station is immediately below Point Park; the old station is across the inlet.
At the north end of Point Park is the American Merchant Marine Veterans Memorial. To the south is the observation area, a hulett (old oar loader), and a walkabout.
If the building is open, you are invited to visit the Great Lakes Marine and Coast Guard Memorial Museum across the street from Point Park.
It is suggested that you travel to this site via Lake Ave. because Hulbert Ave. is rough on the tires.
