Rest Area Relaxation Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

pnew: [:(]
I think nature may have hid this one downstream a couple miles. Right after the Popeteers posted their no find I checked the area and couldn't even get to the cache site (because I wasn't wearing my bathing suit) and the other day when we passed by on the way back from Schlitterbahn it still looked pretty nasty down there. I'm going to have to go down there when I have some time on my hands and do a more thorough search. Anyone else is free to try and find it as well.

Geocache Description:

-=*WARNING*=- Please watch out for: poison ivy, long u-turn exits off the highway, muggles, poison oak, wet logbooks, wet cache contents, large bodies of unpredicatble water, mud, neat snail-like creatures the size of a baseball near the cache, trash and brush that washes up (may be distracting), some bees, long squishy walks, psycho drifters in the area, piles of ants (no wait, FIRE ANTS!!!), kayakers, rivers, misjudged pre-conceived ideas, clouds of mosquitos, monsoons, forgetting to log, guardian spiders, and other disgruntled geocachers...

other than that...

Its an easy walk through the shaded grass. A little muddy after rains.

Fellow geocacher, CHays911, placed this cache on his travels through Texas and asked me to maintain it. This is a great cache accessible from either the East or West on I-10 at the rest area. The easier route to take would be on the West bound side but by no means is it impossible from the other direction.

The cache is a gallon sized plastic jug with screw top labeled appropriately. Its filled with all the usual treasures from the dollar general, sure to please. good hunting!

If traveling west and needing to get back to Houston exit immediately after leaving the rest area. If you miss the exit, (like I did!) have no fear, there is an overpass 4 miles down the road at San Felipe.

04/20/04 PLEASE DO NOT HAVE FUN AT THIS CACHE! AS NEARLY ALL THE OTHER CACHERS HAVE MENTIONED THERE IS NOTHING GOOD ABOUT IT. ABSOLUTE ZERO FUN. I APOLOGIZE FOR THE SEVERE DISAPPOINTMENT I'VE CAUSED ALL THE PAST FINDERS. IF YOU POST YOU HAD ANY ENJOYMENT YOUR FIND WILL BE D3L3TED!
