Geocache Description:

The route to this cache follows the popular Cleveland Way, but parts are next to an unfenced cliff and railway line.
Hence it would be a good idea to keep a close eye on kids and pets.

Start your journey at "Cat Nab" behind the Ship Inn (N 54° 35.083 W 000° 57.900), there are a couple of public car parks very close by if you don’t want to visit the pub.

You have a choice of routes up the cliff, either directly up some steps or a more gentle sloping path.

Along the way you will pass an information board about a Roman station that fell over the cliff edge in recent history, so take care not to follow it.

Three sculptures by artist Richard Farrington entitled Pillar, Trawl Door and Circle will also be seen en-route

Circle features an item for the cat theme.

Some sources say that "Huntcliffe" is so named because cats were hunted there in the 1300's but I'll let you decide whether you believe that or not.

A short walk further along the path you should be able to turn right over the railway line at the crossing point.

A Guibal Fan House stands in this field, its a Scheduled Monument and although some areas of this building are fenced off there are still some dangerous drops, so if in doubt steer well clear.

Initially there are a number of cat related objects in the box, but don't feel obliged to follow the theme.
There is also a disposable camera to take a photo of yourself which should be left in the box.
