Geocache Description:

Off route 10, find plaque at N42 41.032 W72 28.579. Cache is off a old dirt road or trail, moderate uphill walk then level walk to view of Ct. river and cache. About .15 miles from road. There isn't alot of undergrowth.

Philip, second son and successor of Massasoit, Sachem of the Wampanoac, camped on this hill during winter of 1675-1676. Road to cache is about 300 feet past plaque. Cache container is a 12" diameter round ball.
