Geocache Description:

This cache is placed on the State Forest Lands on Clark Rd in Lyndon. Roads are not always driveable but the walk is relatively easy

You are about to see just how devastating the weather can be. Whether it be a microburst or tornado touchdown, the damage done in less than a minute will be remembered for a very long time. One other possibility could have been a Tasmanian Devil. Taz for short is described as "A strong murderous beast, jaws as powerful as a steel trap, has a ravenous appetite and eats everything imaginable. Whirring around like a tornado, slicing through trees like a rotary saw. Keep your eyes open for this nasty beast! Two co-ordinates are available for parking, one for good weather, one for bad. The good weather parking spot is located at N 42° 20.602 W 078° 21.324 and is approximately a .5 mile walk to the final cache. The bad weather parking is at N 42° 20.562 W 078° 22.130 and is approximately 1.1 miles from the cache. The road is driveable with 4WD most of the time but the 1.1 mile walk is worth the effort. If you decide to drive to the good weather parking spot and don't have 4WD, we strongly suggest that you do not go East on Clark Road past the bad weather parking area. Instead, turn south onto Sabo road and "go around the block!!" We highly recommend that you do not visit this cache site during hunting season (mid Oct - mid Dec). The first mile of the roadway is posted property on both sides, please respect the landowners rights. Once you've entered the State Forest Land, you're almost there! There are 3 parts to this cache. The encrypted clues numbered 1,2 and 3 will help you with each of the particular cache sites. The 2nd cache box of this multi cache is a letterbox cache. It is 30 caliber ammo box containing a letterbox stamp and logbook. Within this cache box are the coordinates for the final traditional cache. Letterboxing is a much older treasure hunt game that originated in Great Britain. Rather than exchanging treasures you will need to bring a unique rubber stamp to exchange images with the cache. Use your stamp in the cache logbook when you log your find. Then use the cache stamp in your own logbook. The idea is to carry a letterbox logbook and stamp to exchange and collect images from all around! You can make your own stamp by carving an eraser or you can buy one at a stamping or craft store. Under no circumstances should you ever leave anything in a letterbox hybrid cache. The rubber stamp, inkpad and logbook items should not be taken but left in this box for future letterbox hybrid cachers. The final cache is a retired ovresized ammo box LOADED with some better than average items and a brand new travel bug related to this cache. Please trade fairly!! Also included in this cache is a cache camera for cachers to identify themselves. Please take a picture or two and let me know you did when you log this find. As with our other caches, I will place the pictures online when the camera is full. Another of our caches, "Down but not out" is very close to this cache. If you have not done that one yet, you may want to give that one a try as well. The clues are numbered to help you with each part of this cache if need be.
