Wayland 4.0 - (it's really Cochituate) Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

CacheNCarryMA: I drove by on 4/19 and noticed the container wasn't in its usual spot. Stopped in and did a quick search. The cache is gone.

Life has been busy lately. I don't think I can create a similar container in a timely manner, so I am going to archive this cache.

Geocache Description:

* * * ACCESSIBLE IN WINTER * * *

At Cochituate Ball Field on West Plain Street, near the junction of Route 27. Placed with the permission of the Wayland Park and Recreation Department.

Add a half star or so to the difficulty if you are a new cacher - especially if you haven't found any Wayland caches yet.

PLEASE DO NOT DISTURB THE LANDSCAPING!

The cache is not hidden in the bushes.

A cache with an urban flavor, hidden in a suburban village -- with no ticks, no mud, no briars, no mosquitoes, and no trail! It’s a quick find, but when people are enjoying the ballfield you may need to be a little stealthy retrieving, opening, and re-hiding this one.

There isn't any scenery here, but the Thai restaurant, "Morn's", next to the Dunkin Donuts on the other side of Route 27 is pretty good -- try the "Shrimp in a Blanket" appetizer.

The container is on the small side, so keep your trade items small (e.g. keychains, whistles, baseball cards, coins, etc.).
