Moose River, Old Forge NY
in the Adirondack Park.
By car: Main Street to Joy Track Rd to Green Bridge Road. Park by the green bridge and take the Old Lock Trail.
By water: paddle down the Moose River, sw of town and look for the 2 beaver dams.
On the trail: short walk following the river, ver north onto a little foot path close to the river past fomer fire pit to down birch tree pointing towards 2 beaver dams across the
water.
contents ( 6x6x2”): log book and pencil, notepad, little seagull,wooden nickle,army can opener and flying westward the blue heron bug w/ hichiker key rings ( added an Old Forge one).
Note: Because of the leaf canopy I used the shoreline coodinates, follow the hint to the cache.
NOTE, Aug 30 '06 : Cache is in same location and is now a 1/2 gallon clear plastic jar w/ red srew lid.......enjoy.
