Geocache Description:

East London, Meadowlilly Woods

This cache has been re-hidden after it was found vandalized.

Meadowlily Woods Environmentally Significant Area is one of the largest remaining Natural Areas in the London area, extending over an area of 135 hectares. The forested slopes above the south branch of the Thames River are interrupted by distinct terraces formed by the river since the end of the Ice Age. Steep ravines cutting through the terraces create a scenic landscape. The vegetation of Meadowlily Woods combines two features: plants that are commonly found in the more northern Great Lakes forest, and plants found in the more southern Carolinian zone.
