Note! You must go to the park office and pay
the entrance fee or show them your Texas Parks Passport in
order to log this cache! By doing so, you will help geocaching
continue to be a readily accepted use of Texas State Parks by
parks management.
Rusk State Park is located adjacent to the extremely nifty
Texas State
Railroad Rusk Depot in Cherokee County. Be sure to take a ride
on the train while you're here!
This park offers some of the nicest camping facilities I've seen
at a Texas state park! The tent pads are level and clean, and the
RV hookups and parking areas are in great shape.
There is a small lake for fishing and paddle boats are available
for rent.
This mini cache is hidden on the nature trail that runs by the
wildlife viewing area. Please stay on the trail! There is no need
to bushwack or trample the area.
The cache is no more than 5 yards off the trail, hidden in an
obvious spot. Bring a pen or pencil and small trade items.
Thanks to Joyrose for the cache container!
