This geocache lies near a marked switchback trail going up Hackensack Mountain in Warrensburg. Where the trail ends the fun begins.
This is a well known local trail that is well traveled. The terrain is on a marked switchback trail that has some loose rocks to walk around in some areas. It is suitable for young children, however. Hackensack Mt. provides fantastic views of Warrensburg and the surrounding mountains from the top. It makes for a nice hike off the beaten path. The trailhead is marked with town signs and the trail is marked with orange tree tags. Parking is allowed on the flat area on the street nearby the trailhead.

This is a replacement cache as our first one was stolen. This one is a clear plastic container with a red cover. Inside are items for all ages.
