Located at Flaming Gorge Reservoir, Must boat into cache, not accessible by land.
We love Flaming Gorge Reservoir. It has so much to offer that I thought it would be fun to set up it's first cache. (none to my knowledge) This cache must by accessed by boat. It is not within walking distance otherwise. The cache is in a small ammo container. The cache is above high water mark but not far from it, so the hike is not bad at all. It is only about 120' hike depending on water level. The hill is steep and has a fair amount of shale on it so be careful in hiking. It is located between Hideout Campground and the Dam, which covers quite a large area but narrows it down somewhat for you. Just remember you DO NOT have to hike OVER any mountains to get to it. It is pretty darn easy to find and in a very beautiful part of the lake.
