Geocache Description:

The listed coordinates will take you to Ed Davis park in Towsley Canyon. The actual cache is located about a mile up Towsley Canyon and is about 25 feet off the trail. Terrain is a gradual service road, with a thinning trail near the end. Park hours are sunrise to sunset.

To find the cache park near N 34 21.454 W 118 33.953. The posted coordinates will guide you to a plaque in Ed Davis park. Using the date on the plaque, first convert the month to it's number (January=01). Then use the following formula, replacing letters for numbers, to determine the final coordinates. Container is a large ammo can.

MM/DD/YYYY
AB/CD/EFGH

So using March 12 1987 as an example you would get 03/12/1987 where A=0, B=3, c=1, D=2, E=1, F=9, G=8, H=7.

Now use the date on the plaque to fill in the digits.

N 34 CA.HBF
W 118 D (A+D).(F-H) E (G-C)
