Geocache Description:

Spring Lake Park, Schaars Bluff, Nininger Twsp.55033

Spring Lake Park is an absolute gem! This is one of my top 10 favorites. It features many trails, kids playground, Pavillion and open picnic areas with grills, nice facilities, and some of the most spectacular views you can imagine. Thus the name of the cache.
This park was named after a lake that existed until 1930. It was a cold spring fed lake that was swallowed up when the Corp of Engineers Built the Hastings Lock and Dam #2, raising the river level for vessel trade and travel.
This cache is a nice leisurly stroll from the parking lot and follows the trail until about 25 yards from this trail. It is still 'none, to very minimal' bushwacking. The cache is a large 12"x5"x8" camo appropriate tool box, that has bubbles, harmonica, Wind sock, rubber balls, corkscrew, fuzzy animals, Dinosaurs and some other misc treasure.
