To log this cache, you must first answer all the questions from the three segments. Please email me the answers before logging the cache find. I will have to delete any logs that do not answer the questions. The coordinates listed above are for the first stop where you will need to find the answers to the following questions.
1. What person of historical significance was awarded the Medal of Honor for actions at this location?
2. What General directed his army from this location?
3. Look in all directions, how many cannons do you see?
4. How many Union soldiers were officially listed as killed, wounded, or missing in the battles of Chattanooga?
The second leg is located at the following coordinates:
35N 02.571 85W 15.221
Here you will need to answer the following questions.
1. What is this location called?
2. What state erected the most prominent feature of this location?
3. What were the Confederate losses at this location? Note: some have had a little trouble with this question and have emailed the Union (Yankee) losses. I am looking for Confederate (Rebel) losses, the answer is on a different panel than where the Union information is found. Hint: Union panels are done in blue type and Confederate in red type.
The last leg contains the cache, but there are still some questions to answer. The coordinates for the parking area are 35N 03.941 85W 14.430. There is a gate here that they will no longer allow people to drive past, but a short walk up the paved road will bring you to the last stop. The cache is located along the way, and is not actually on NPS land, but on the other side of the road. You will need to continue up the road past the cache and into the park to find the answers to the last questions.

If you are a Civil War buff you will really enjoy this one, and if not you will still enjoy the gorgeous views and scenery from up here. The terrain is very easy with only a small walk in (about .25 mile) at the last stop. But if you have time you may want to make many more stops to take in the abundant historical information and scenery. If you are in a rush the whole tour should not take more than 30-45 mins.
