From the cache area, it is possible to view the aerial exercises performed by the aircraft at Ft. Indiantown Gap as well as being a prime autumn HAWK WATCH.
To access 2nd Mountain Hawk Watch, travel from Ft. Indiantown Gap and follow the signs to Hawk Mtn. off Route 443. At the top of the mountain, turn right. PARK AT DESIGNATED COORDINATES ONLY!!! - N40 28.222 W76 37.159 as the area is surrounded by Ft. Indiantown Gap Military Installation and their lands are well-marked 'No Trespassing'. From the parking, turn left & follow the ORANGE BLAZED path into the woods. The cache is not far off this trail.
Be sure to follow these directions. Some of the roads in the area are restricted. Watch your speed when traveling through the base. The Military Police will pull over civilian vehicles.
I replaced the original container and rehid it in a different spot. If you found it before you can log another find. My container is quite a bit smaller so I removed the original red binoculars.
Please rehide as well as you found it.
