The Seanachai: Greetings from Geocaching.com,

While we feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you for a reasonable amount of time, we cannot do so indefinitely. In light of the lack of communication regarding this cache it has been archived to free up the area for new placements. If you haven’t done so already, please pick up this cache or any remaining bits as soon as possible. If you are in the process of replacing or repairing your cache please e-mail me in response to this archival and, if possible, I will unarchive your cache.

I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute in the past and I am looking forward to your continued contributions to the sport of Geocaching.

Geocache Description:

This cache is located along J. Percy Priest Lake at the Stewart Creek Boat Ramp and park, part of U.S. Army Corps of Engineers property.  There is a paved walking trail up to within 200 feet of the cache.  Some bushwacking is required.

At this site, Magellan, the GPS company, hid a treasure as part of a marketing promotion in August 2003.  We had fun seeking Magellan's cache when they hid it.  Surprisingly, there were not yet any "real" geocaches in this park!  A good cache shouldn't go to waste when Magellan's promotion ends, so we have decided to "adopt" the location and place a real geocache here to commemorate the event in Nashville's geocaching history.

Magellan's original hide was in plain sight.  We have chosen a spot that is a little more concealed about 8 feet south of where their original hide was located.  The cache is in an ammo box.  The cache contents include:

The original Magellan treasure chest and remaining hat coupons
(I do not know if Magellan will be re-collecting the chest or not)
Log Book (provided by robertlipe)
Coaster (left by sduck)
Magnet
Bubble Pendant
Post-it Notes
Personal Planner

Edit December 1, 2003: Container has been replaced with an ammo box.
