Geocache Description:

This multi-stage virtual cache ending with a physical cache is in a neighborhood park in Richardson TX.  Richardson does an amazing job of maintaining their park system.  They even water it, so the trails can be muddy regardless of the lack of rain.

The first two stages are virtual stages. The final stage is a 30 cal ammo box, filled with items that would have been useful for the historic stage 1.
STAGE 1:

The first stage is a historic stage, so if you're not careful you may learn something about early Richardson.

The coordinates given N32 58.962 W96 43.189 are for the first virtual stage. At the stage, you are looking for a brass plaque. You are looking for the earliest year listed on the plaque, as well as the dedication year on the plaque.

The North coordinates for Stage 2 can be found by adding the coordinates below:
N32.57.477
    +X.XXX
where XXXX are the digits of earliest year listed on the plaque.
==========
N32.5_.___  <<<--NORTH Coordinates for Stage 2
The West coordinates for Stage 2 can be by subtracting the coordinates below:
W96.45.047
    -Z.ZZZ
where ZZZZ are the digits of the dedication year on the plaque.
==========
W96.4_.___   <<<--WEST Coordinates for Stage 2

Now that you have the coordinates to Stage 2, you can get back in your car, or walk northbound down the pretty trail on which the City of Richardson has sprayed the poison ivy.

STAGE 2:

Stage 2 is a virtual cache too. Please be careful, if you decide to play on/around stage 2.  It is quite a fall.

At stage 2, you are looking for another plaque that will provide the coordinates for the final cache.

The coordinates can be determined by doing the following:

a) What's the last name of the Mayor listed on the plaque?_ _ _ _ _ _
b) For each letter of the Mayor's last name, find the corresponding digit using the decoder below._ _ _ _ _ _
A=9 B=2 C=7 D=4 E=4 F=0 G=8 H=9 I=5 J=8 K=4 L=3 M=7 N=3 O=0 P=2 Q=4 R=3 S=7 T=7 U=5 V=9 W=3 X=6 Y=7 Z=8
c) Take the 6 digits that you wrote in step b, and write them here.  _ _ _ _ _ _
 A B C D E F

d) Using the numbers that you've written above the letters in step c, substitute the corresponding numbers for the letters in the coordinate template below. The number in position F isn't needed.

N32 59.3AB
W96.42.CDE

e) Go!!! The last 40 feet are more difficult terrain. There is some poison ivy located near the final cache.  Thorns are avoidable if you approach from the right direction, otherwise, you will not be a happy camper.
