You're going to need to do a bit of scrambling around to get to this one. I'm no rock climber but I had to keep my wits about me putting this one in - there are plenty of opportunities to slip and hurt yourself and while it isn't too high it wouldn't be nice to hurt yourself out here in the sticks - take it easy.
Cache is a clear lolly jar jammed into a gap in the rocks. There is a fair bit of tree cover but I took an average of ten readings so the co-ordinates should be fairly good.
We used the 4WD to get here and I would certainly recommend that you do the same (make sure it is fairly dry as some of the tracks we encountered could be treacherous when wet). However, we got talking to a group who said they drove their Honda Civic here and walked in so there must be a 'real' road in somewhere hence the rating 4 for terrain (would have been a 5 otherwise).
The swimming hole would be a wonderful place to stop to cool off on a hot summer's day. We didn't have our togs with us unfortunately so we just sat with our legs dangling in the water. No matter, it was still a lovely place to stop and take in the spectacular scenery.
Update: Directions for 2WD vehicles, from Somerset Dam
I don't normally give directions like this but I want to make the cache accessible to as many people as possible so here you go.
