Geocache Description:

Nice Easy walk to the cache, but please hide well.

O’Hare International Airport would like to announce the addition of Terminal 6. We are hopeful that this new addition specializing in the needs of today’s active Travel Bug, will be widely accepted and utilized.

This new terminal boasts amenities like an observation area with a great view of arriving and departing planes, convenient parking at N41°58.575' W87°52.562', and will soon have a connection to the Metra and Train system in the area.

Directions to the parking area from the entrance of the airport are as follows:

From I-190 take Manheim Road South to Lawrence Ave. Turn Left at Lawrence, and turn around in the O’Hare Aerospace Office Complex on the left and take Manheim Rd North, stay in the right lane. Take the Balmoral Ave. ramp to Parking. To return to any other terminals, take Balmoral Ave. the opposite direction, which will put you on Manheim road North. Take 190 West bound to the other terminals.

This is a special visit for the entire family.

Original contents at dedication were:

6 planes for the Travel Bugs
2 Bracelets
2 Bubble Containers
2 Brain Teasers (You can email me for the solutions.)
2 Mini Flash Lights
1 mini Slinky
1 Dice
2 Jack Games
2 containers of Play-Doh
and 2 Travel bugs.

The Cache container is a 20MM Ammo Box.

Please take care when re-hiding the cache..

The walk from the parking spot to the cache is under 300', but there is a nice hill that you must walk down.

While at the parking area, stop and watch for a bit, as you will be between 27L/9R and 27R/9L, which are the two busiest runways at O'Hare. If you look hard enough, you might even be able to spot what is left of the apple orchard, on the airport property. (Thus the Name for the Airport, ORD - Orchard Field.)
