The light rays streaming out from behind the clouds as the sun descended were a “De-Light”to watch as my “De-Lighted grandson climbed all over the rocks in this “De-Lightful” place.
This is a nice place to stop and enjoy a "De-Lightful” view as you travel Shady Pass from Entiat to Lake Chelan or vice-versa. You can go up the Entiat River Road to Shady Pass and cross over the mountains coming down near Twenty-five Mile Creek. Or Start from the Lake Chelan side. Either way it is a fun summer afternoon drive. You probably should have a vehicle with high clearance. We did this drive in the car but I take my car places most people wouldn't. It is a dusty but beautiful drive. The snow usually isn’t gone from up here till after the 4th of July so the window of time to do this cache is only about 3-4 months in between snowmelt and new snow. The cache is small so please bring small items. Enjoy your drive and don’t forget to find the other Shady Pass cache a few miles away.
