Ammo box hidden off trail on Fox Run Conservation Area near Muddy Pond.
Beautiful views, fishing (youth only near parking, open to all with a hike to Muddy Pond hidden from road) and a trail cut by an Eagle Scout. Surprisingly quiet so close to a highway!
Park in front of youth fishing pond off High Rd (N43 04.314' W071 03.627'). Trailhead hidden by growth... walk around to right (SW) to find it.
To get there (not the shortest way, but easiest to explain! Roads aren't well marked... sorrry!): From Rte 125, take Old Hedding Road west. Take a right onto North River Road at stop sign. Where North River turns back towards 125, take a left onto Spur Rd. This ends quickly, and take a left onto Old Nottingham Rd. About .4 mi later, take a right onto High St. This turns into a dirt road. Keep going until you see youth only fishing pond and sign for Fox Run Conservation Area on the right.
