Geocache Description:

"Frith on the hill!! You can see the WHOLE world from here!" -- the rabbit Hazel from Richard Adam's novel, Watership Down.

This spot has always reminded me of the Rabbit's warren of safe haven in Watership Down. The spot where Hazel-Ra and BigWig fought their final battle with General Woundwort and his minions. I found it while searching for the cache Pretzel Logic last winter and KNEW I'd have to come back and place a cache at this enchanting spot.

Once you've found the cache be sure to take a few moments to soak in the view. This HAS to be one of the most scenic vistas in all of Cook County.

If you've seen the animated film Watership Down or read the novel you'll see that the name fits perfectlly.

This is a micro cache that's well hidden. IMPORTANT: There wasn't room for a pencil in the microcache. Be sure to bring something to write with to sign the log.

This area appears to be popular with party-revellers so please take care not to trample down the vegetation which conceals the cache and make sure you cover it up again as I left it.

Update: This cache should require no bush-whacking if approached correctly. A well defined trail will take you to within fifty feet of the cache and from there you'll have to walk through some knee high grass. Your best bet is to park at the southern most parking lot in Busse Woods just north of Biesner Road Entrance to the park.
