Grandad Norcott's Birthday Cache Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

TeamHanda: I was informed by a geocacher that the cache was gone and the only thing left was the lid. So I went out today and looked around and found that someone had taken the lid off the amo can and threw the bottom down some rocks. I hope to sometime put another cache out in this area. Thank you to all of the people who have come to this cache.

Geocache Description:

This cache is on Sumac (Rd., Dr., St.?) and can be accessed from Sage (Rd., Dr., St.). Sage is accessible from Highway 76, very near Interstate 15.

Cache is in one of the areas owned by The Fallbrook Land Conservancy and is dog friendly. Please observe the posted regulations at the Engel Family Preserve.

Please be aware that this is a before dusk cache. A portion of the driveway is shared with a neighbor. The portion of the driveway that is owned by the conservancy is located on the right side. You can drive part way to the cache, and there is room to turn around at the gate if your vehicle isn't enormous.

The cache is in a standard sized ammo can. Cory and I placed this as a way to celebrate his Grandad's 81st birthday. Grandad Norcott spent many years tramping around being a licensed land surveyor in Oregon, Washington, and California. We have followed along, in the Geocaching way, climbing a hill to find out what's on top or the other side. Or maybe, just to find out what's down the path.

Please do a good job of re-hiding the cache.

The cache is in a standard sized ammo container and contained the following items:

Log Book and Pencil....to stay with cache
Disposable camera....please take your picture and note frame number in the logbook. We will develop the photos and post them later.

Newt Gingrich cat toy
"Hannah and Her Sisters" video
Kitchen Shears
Smiley face puzzle
Bottle of bubbles
"Winner" medal
Eyeglasses repair kit
Rolodex card punch
Twist towel for hair

Peace Angel Travel Bug

I uploaded the pictures that were taken by all of you great geocachers who visited our cache. As you might notice, there are quite a few question marks. Can you help identify any of these ?????'s
