Geocache Description:

An easy quarter mile walk from a paved parking lot, this cache is a small clear tupperware container with a blue-rimmed lid. A marked trail will bring you within a few feet of the cache.

From 1888 to 1899 the Jupiter and Lake Worth Railroad ran through this area, very near this location. Known to locals as the 'Celestial Railroad', it's northern terminus was Jupiter and it ran south to Juno. Passengers would disembark from steamboats on the Indian River and board the train to the county seat of Dade County, Juno, and continue on their journey to the small settlements of Palm Beach and Miami. The railroad was abandoned around the turn of the century, with the coming of Henry Flagler's Florida East Coast Railroad, and dismantled. No trace of it remains today.

The original contents of the cache include the Geocache notice, log book and pen, calculator, mini flashlight and batteries, kid's 'Egyptian' tote bag, Carnival Cruise 'Save the Waves' glass, flag pin, roadrunner key chain, woven bookmark, and an 1897 Indian Head penny.

Please stay on the trails and respect the environment. Don't miss the view from the top.....
