This challenging cache is located within Old Santee Canal Park
with an entrance
fee of $3.00 for most people. Hours are 9 AM to 5 PM year
round. There is a ton to do in this park; an interpretive
center, The Berkeley Museum, Stony Landing house, and
interesting history about CSS David - an advanced
semi-submersible built during the civil war, and the whole
reason this park exists, the history of one of the most advanced
canals at the time.
Once you find the cache--which is actually in plain sight--you
must make a determination of your abilities to retrieve and
return it to it's spot. If you don't think you can retrieve the
cache, log, trade, and return the cache to it's spot, don't go
after this cache!
The cache is secured with two bicycle locks. The combinations
are 6534 and 6315. It will be likely you will need one of these
numbers to open the cache. Please, return the cache to where you
found it.
In order to log a find, you must sign the log. Getting to
the coordinates doesn't count. Seeing the cache doesn't count. Only
retrieving the cache and signing the log counts as a find.
