Salmonberry Traditional Cache
Trekks: Couldn't check last week -- there were people hanging out. Stopped back today and it's gone. We looked to see if it had been put back somewhere else, and there was no sign of it.

Salmonberry Park is located about 4.5 miles west of the town of Alsea on Hwy 34. It’s a quiet little park and campground on the Alsea River and may be the only one located on the “other” side of the river away from the noise of the highway
The camping area in this park is closed during the winter months but the day use area is open all year. If you happen to visit here in late October or early November (after the first good rain) you are likely to see some big Chinook salmon on their spawning migration. If you visit in late November and December it might be a good idea to bring your steelhead gear.
The theme of this cache is camping and fishing. The cache is an ammo can hidden a short distance from the Day Use parking area.
