Geocache Description:

New coordinates N40 58.797 W111 51.058

High in the Hills above Farmington Was one of the most miserable cache I have ever found. Formerly known as “Holy Crap Cache”, even Meticulous Mike wouldn’t go back up here after this one. For a long time I was the only one ever to log this Cache. So when I found out My New friend From Dorkteam6 was going up there I asked him to relocate the ammo can to a better location. I am very excited about this new location in fact I think I will head up there and have a look.

Here are Dorkteam6’s directions to the Cache

Head up Farmington canyon and follow the directions to the Altar Rock Cache GCG9EJ Look west from Altar Rock Cache. There is a 2nd altar or large cairn a few hundred feet down the hill. Make your way down to it and continue, looking for red ribbons (they look like the type of ribbon I've seen the Forest Service use) tied to bushes and trees. There is the beginning of a new trail to an overlook 100 ft SE of the new cache location, and it is marked with these red ribbons. Look for the first ribbons slightly south and west from the cairn. The trail meanders back and forth, but generally stays on top or on the south side of the ridge. The trail is often unclear and it is very overgrown in places. In fact, I lost it for a quarter mile and just made my way through the THICK undergrowth. But whenever I reencountered it, it made things MUCH easier. It appears to have been created very recently. When you reach a more open area, look for the American flag planted at the overlook. It must have been placed by whomever made the trail; it is still in good condition. The cache is about 100 feet NW from the flag. You can't see it from above, but it is completely uncovered when looking from the side or below. I think you will enjoy the neat little spot for the hide. There are no cliffs or even rock climbing required to find the cache now, but it is still very tough.

I would like to dedicate This cache to the Greatest Geocacher in Utah She is an Inspiration to all of us and a fantastic lady

Good luck.

See you on the Trail

Scout Master.
