The location is accessible only by boat, in a beautiful cove south of Seward. You can walk to the cache from the Spruce Glacier cabin at any tide level, and a short climb is necessary to spot the hiding place. Look for the many nails and spikes in the remnants of wrecked wooden barges on the beach.
The original container was left out and badly wetted after an accidental find by berry pickers. The container was upgraded to an ammo box on 7/6/05. There is a new log book, a few special nails, and a variety of trade items.
