The Blackwater Environmental Ski/Hiking Trail. Off of US Highway 2 in Cohasset, turn on CR 87 (across from Citgo Station), and drive about 1/2 mile, park at ski shack on left.
This is our first cache, and tried to make it user friendly, but the trails veer hither and tither, making it a little on the challenging side.
The area is a unique blend of maples, oaks, pines, and lots of deer. If you follow the trails to their end, you will end up at the Mississippi River Blackwaters.
The web site (visit link) is a Minnesota Power webcam of the Peregrine falcons that nest each year, 220 feet up on the 350 foot stack that you will see.
