Go up the grade from the Cheveron station on 395. The road is not always snow plowed this far up in the winter.
The cache itself is an ammo can.
My GPS at the site showed an accuracy of 15 ft. Fairly open, so good signal.
We placed the cache here because we enjoy the view of the Honey Lake valley from here. It's really peacefull at this spot.
Might I suggest you take a day pack with some sandwiches and drinks and sit on the flat rock beside the cache and enjoy a picnic lunch and soak up the ambiance.
